Based on Structure and Function:

• Epidermis: The outermost layer which provides a waterproof barrier and creates skin tone.
• Dermis: This is beneath the epidermis, it contains tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands.
• Hypodermis (Subcutaneous Tissue): It is the deeper layer made of fat and connective tissue.

Based on Thickness:

• Thick Skin: It is found on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet, with a thicker epidermis and lacks hair follicles.
• Thin Skin: This covers most of the body, with a thinner epidermis, contains hair follicles, sebaceous glands, and sweat glands.

Based on Type

• Normal Skin: Well-balanced, not too oily or too dry, with small pores and a smooth texture.
• Dry Skin: Lacks moisture and can feel tight and rough, often due to environmental factors or aging.
• Oily Skin: Characterized by excess sebum production, leading to a shiny appearance and larger pores. This skin type is prone to acne.
• Combination Skin: Features both oily and dry areas, typically with an oily T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) and dry cheeks.
• Sensitive Skin: Easily irritated by external factors, prone to redness, itching, and discomfort.
